2008 QUEENSLAND GOLD MEDALLION WINNERS


Winners in the 2008 Queensland Gold Medallion Awards were announced in Brisbane on Saturday night, October 18 2008, at the Pioneer Village Country Music Club, Petrie.

James Blundell won the Male Vocalist of the Year while Tom Curtain took home the Silver.

Shaza Leigh won the Female Vocalist of the Year for the third year in succession. Casey Watt took out the Silver.

Lana Ross won New Talent of the Year, Daly Stephenson, the Silver.

Jeff Brown was named Bush Balladeer of the Year while Dean Perrett won the Silver.

Lindsay Waddington took out Musician of the Year, also for the third year in succession, while Alisha Smith won the Silver.

Graham Rodger was named winner of the of the Touring Artist of the Year while 8 Ball Aitken won the Silver.

Graham Rodger was also named winner of the Songwriter of the Year and Ian Quinn, the Silver.
